Fun

I will post random things here, some may be jokes, others will be photos from my life adventures.

Biking:

Ever since moving to Pennsylvania I’ve been getting more and more into cycling. Bought a GoPro and strapped it to my chest to make some vids, you know me.

Skating:

I’ve been riding shortboards for years, and since moving to SF I’ve loved riding downtown. My favorite hill is a walk from my apartment and the bus is my lift back to the top. I suck at editing and the camera work is shotty, but here are two lil vids.

Poetry:

Language is a beautiful art form. Being able to choose words wisely to instill emotion and translate meaning is something to marvel at. Probably the greatest human invention to date. I often write poetry in an attempt to lyricize my emotions. Not often do I record them, but I may start doing that now that I’m less camera shy.

Games:

Currently spending gaming time either in Escape from Tarkov or some classic like Rocket League or Civ.

However, I got a new toy, a sim racing wheel and have been rocking F1 2021, Forza Horizon 5 and Asetto Corsa. Racing is a hell of a good time, but drifting is even better. I’m still not a pro at either of them, but with practice comes pace and poise. Hopefully this fills the void of me not having a working automobile at the moment.

Music:

I’ve always loved rap music, I took a class on Funk, Fusion, and Hip-Hop that taught me all of the origins of modern day hip-hop. From Grandmaster Flash to Kendrick Lamar, a lot of incredible artists have expanded and redefined the genre. At the core, every song has a beat and a story. Some songs have a dope beat, which is key to its popularity, but few have a truly captivating story. No matter if you love or hate rap, storytelling is a powerful ability. This song is most likely the best example of phenomenal storytelling in rap.

But I also love music without lyrics, it helps me study or work. I will listen to concertos or scores, and the occasional lofi synthwave beats. I call it driving music.
